FRIDAYS: 1-Time Wheel Class with Annabel - 5:00 to 6:30pm

Have you been curious about clay and want to see what it feels like to play on the pottery wheel? Come test out the muddy waters to see if this medium is for you! This fun, engaging class is perfect for Date Night or Girls Night :)

• Beginners will get a full crash course on the fundamentals of throwing. The entire 2-hours will be dedicated to throwing techniques so you can get a feel for the real deal.

 

Or maybe you just want to drop into the studio to work for a little bit without committing to a membership or a 4-week course. This is a great way to get introduced to the studio.

• Potters with some experience are encouraged to ask any + all the questions -- we're here to help!

 

If you make something you want to keep, we'll trim + finish the piece for you in your choice of studio glaze.

 

This class is designed for those 18+ with little to no experience. Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian who must also enroll in the course.

 

Registration for this course includes:

• Unlimited fresh clay to use throughout the class
• Use of community tools + bats
• Glaze costs + firing fees for 1 piece

 

In preparation for this class, please:

• Bring an apron or wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty / stained
• Ensure you wear short sleeves or sleeves that can easily tuck back and not get in the way
• Tie back long hair so that it does not get caught on clay or the wheel

 

Finished pieces will be available for pick up during Business Hours 4 weeks from the last class and will be held for 4 weeks. Abandoned works will be discarded due to limited storage space. Thanks for understanding!

Business Hours:

• Thursday: 1 - 6pm
• Friday - Monday: 10am - 6pm

 

All students must sign a Code of Conduct Agreement / Waiver before the start of class. 

We require at least 2 students to run a class; refunds will be issued if we must cancel due to low registration.

 

Registration fees (minus service charges) are 100% refundable if registration is canceled 10 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 5th to receive 100% refund.

 

50% refund (minus service charges) if canceled 5 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 10th to receive 50% refund.

 

Non-refundable within 5 days of class, however, registration is transferable once to another person or class prior to class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th and it's now the 12th and you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to another person or another class. Please email the Studio Manager (info@ashlandclayhouse.com) to coordinate.
