STARTS 6/7 2-Day Altar Building + Sgraffito Class w/ Madalynn - 10:30am - 1:30pm

Join Madalynn (of @mad_ceramics) for a fun, engaging class where you'll learn how to hand-build an altar / jewelry organizer, then decorate it using the intricate process of sgraffito!

 

During 3-hour workshops on Saturday + Sunday, she'll guide you through each step as you create + transform an altar into beautiful artwork using this surface decoration technique. This 18+ workshop is perfect for all skill levels… no experience necessary! Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian who must also enroll in class.

 

Registration for this course includes:

• All materials + tools needed to create and decorate one altar
• Glaze + firing fees

 

In preparation for this class, please:

• Bring a photo or an object that inspires you
• Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty/staining, or bring an apron (aprons for sale at the studio)
• Ensure you wear short sleeves or sleeves that can easily tuck back and not get in the way
• Tie back long hair so that it does not get caught on clay

 

Finished pieces will be available for pick up during Open Hours 4-6 weeks after class and will be held for 2 weeks. Abandoned works will be discarded due to limited storage space. Thanks for understanding!

• Thursday 1:00pm - 6:00pm
• Friday - Monday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

 

All students must sign a Waiver / Code of Conduct Agreement before the start of class.

We require at least 3 students to run this class; refunds will be issued if we must cancel due to low registration.

 

We cannot provide make-up classes for missed sessions.

 

Registration fees (minus service charges) are 100% refundable if registration is canceled 10 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 5th to receive 100% refund.

 

50% refund (minus service charges) if canceled 5 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 10th to receive 50% refund.

 

Non-refundable within 5 days of class, however, registration is transferable once to another person prior to class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th and it's now the 12th and you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please email the Studio Manager to coordinate.
