4/5 Tiki Mug Handbuilding Workshop with Hina - 2pm to 5pm

Get ready to channel tropical vibes! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design and sculpt your very own tiki mug from various types of clay. Your unique mug will be perfect for serving up your favorite tropical drinks or displaying as a fun + bold piece of art!

 

Hina will guide you step-by-step through slab + sculpting techniques to form your mug, add facial features, textures and expressive details. Whether you’re inspired by classic tiki faces, playful expressions, or your own imaginative creature, this workshop is all about creativity and personality.

 

No pottery experience is necessary; this class is beginner-friendly + designed to be both lighthearted and fun! After the workshop, Hina will glaze your mug in your choice of food-safe glaze, making it ready for your next tasty drink!

 

Registration for this course includes:

• Fresh clay to make 1 large tiki mug
• Use of all studio tools
• Glaze costs + firing fees

 

In preparation for this class, please:

• Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty/staining (aprons will be provided)
• Ensure you wear short sleeves or sleeves that can easily tuck back and not get in the way
• Tie back long hair so that it does not get caught on clay

 

Finished pieces will be available for pick up during Open Hours 4-6 weeks after class and will be held for 4 weeks. Abandoned works will be discarded due to limited storage space. Thanks for understanding!

 

Open Hours:

• Thursday: 1 - 6pm
• Friday - Monday: 10am - 6pm

 

All students must sign a Code of Conduct Agreement before the start of class.

We require at least 2 students to run a class; refunds will be issued if we must cancel due to low registration.

 

Registration fees (minus service charges) are 100% refundable if registration is canceled 10 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 5th to receive 100% refund.

 

50% refund (minus service charges) if canceled 5 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 10th to receive 50% refund.

 

Non-refundable within 5 days of class, however, registration is transferable once to another person or class prior to class start date. Future class must commence 30 days from original start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th and it's now the 12th and you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please email the Studio Manager to coordinate.
